At TexasWorks, our dedicated Campus Life Coaches play a crucial role in ensuring that adult learners achieve their academic and personal goals. With backgrounds in social work, our Life Coaches are equipped to address a diverse array of student needs.
They serve as Student Service Liaisons, connecting students to vital community resources for housing, food, income, and citizenship challenges. They provide immediate mental health support and personalized care plans, ensuring students have access to licensed counselors for ongoing therapy. Academic advising is another cornerstone of their role, offering personalized guidance on career pathways and higher education opportunities. Additionally, they facilitate workshops on resume writing, scholarship essays, and time management.
Career counseling and job placement services are integral to our Life Coaches’ mission. They help students set professional goals, conduct career assessments, and establish partnerships with industry leaders for job shadowing, internships, and placements.
