At TexasWorks, our curriculum is designed to fit the needs of each student. We divide the curriculum into Bright Thinker\u2122 Knowledge Units, which include related lessons, quizzes, and a mastery exam. Students can redo lessons and retake the mastery exam until they pass. Passing all ten mastery exams is necessary to earn academic credit. Our program gives students the freedom to learn at their own pace but still offers a structured day to guide them toward success in their individualized learning plans. The day begins by setting goals and priorities for coursework. Throughout the four-hour school day, students engage in independent work, small group learning, and one-on-one teacher support. Afterward, the student and instructor assess their progress and decide if homework is necessary.
